Current Happenings
Math facts: The students are taking timed and oral tests over the addition facts 0 to 10. We are taking timed and oral tests on the subtraction facts 0-5. The students may begin studying the subtraction facts to 10.
Prayers: The students will be checked on prayers for the end of first quarter. Prayers checked at this time will be; Sign of the Cross, Morning Prayer, Hail Mary, and Guardian Angel.
Current Events: The students have begun doing the weekly current events board. I am impressed with the items reported on thus far. The students will continue to bring home one item a week to do.
Spelling: Recently the class began spelling units and tests. The students did very well on their first tests and they are beginning to write sentences using their spelling words. Remember, in addition to the list of ten words sent home on Mondays there will also be six words from the current phonics unit given on the test for that week.

Monday-Wednesday-Friday from 12:00 until 12:30 OR
Any day of the week from 2:00 until 2:30
