Algebra I Course Description

ALGEBRA I Grades: 9-10
Length: Year
Prerequisite: Pre-Algebra ( > 80% second semester) & teacher recommendation
Algebra I is designed to prepare the student for advanced math concepts taught in Algebra II and beyond. Solving equations, graphing, algebraic expressions and a brief study of some geometric concepts are covered. Daily home work is required.

Algebra I is a required course for both geometry and chemistry. A student must achieve a second semester average of 80% or higher in algebra I to be eligible to advance to geometry or chemistry.
