Freshman Computers (1 or 2 semesters)
The students
will learn Microsoft Office 2001 which includes Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint. Students will also learn Internet searching skills.
Computer Applications I (9-12)
Students
will begin with a review of Microsoft Office, learn a database program,
and learn to develop web pages using HTML. They will also have
vocabulary and literacy materials. The units are individualized -
students move at their own rate. Once basic skills are learned, they
may move to other applications depending upon their career objectives.
The optional units are: File Maker Pro, Quicken, Hyperstudio, Adobe
PageMaker, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, 3D CAD,
Design Your Own Home, Create web pages, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash,
Quicktime VR, Final Cut Pro, Director 7, Cinema 4D, Adobe InDesign,
Quickbooks, AutoCAD, 3D Home Architect, iMovie, Morph, Scanners,
Digital Cameras, Digital Camcords, and PC & Mac Troubleshooting.
Computer Applications II (prerequisite Computers I)
Students
will begin with review of Excel, Quicken, and Multimedia Project. This
course would be a continuation of Computer Applications I and units
would be selected according to career objectives. Students will learn
to use Macintosh and Windows Platforms and their disk operating
systems. The optional units are: File Maker Pro, Quicken, Hyperstudio,
Adobe PageMaker, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, 3D
CAD, Design Your Own Home, Create web pages, Dreamweaver, Fireworks,
Flash, Quicktime VR, Final Cut Pro, Director 7, Cinema 4D, Adobe
InDesign, Quickbooks, AutoCAD, 3D Home Architect, iMovie, Morph,
Scanners, Digital Cameras, Digital Camcords, and PC & Mac
Troubleshooting.
Computer Applications III (prerequisite Computers I & II)
Students
will begin with a review of a Database program. This course would be a
continuation of Computer Applications II and units would be selected

Programming I and II
Students will learn an introduction to programming with C++, Visual Basic 6.0 and/or Java Programming.
Accounting I
Accounting is a two semester
course in which the students will learn the fundamentals of the
accounting systems: record the opening entry; analyze business
transactions and journalize them; post to the ledgers; prepare the
worksheet, income statement and balance sheet and close the ledger. The
students will also enter accounting transactions and work transactions
on the computers. The students will also do a business simulation to
reinforce what they have learned.
Accounting II (pre-requisite Accounting I)
Accounting
II is a two semester course in which the student will review the
fundamentals of the accounting system. The students will also learn new
and more complex material of the accounting system. Also, students will
show the ability to answer essay questions dealing with accounting
concepts. The computers will be used to enter and record accounting
information.
Consumer Economics (1 semester)
This
is a one semester course in which students will learn career choice
decisions, money management principles and practices, financial
security and planning for the future. Students learn the right and
responsibility as a consumer.
Business Law (1 semester)
Business
Law is a one semester course in which the student will learn more about
understanding the law. Students will also learn about rights,
contracts, properties and responsibilities.
7th Grade Keyboarding (Sem)
Students will learn the basics of the keyboard letters.
8th Grade Keyboarding (Sem)
Students will learn how to create and format letters, memorandums, reports, and tables.
