Digital Photography/ Art Class
2007/2008
Photography Assignments for 2007
Every week students will be required to research a process of photography or historical topic. Every student is responsible for his/her text book. (cost $30.00)
Textbooks must be brought to every class meeting. One to two chapters
will be covered each week. Quizzes over reading and research will be on
Thursday/ Friday.
This class emphasis is on digital photography.
We will not be taking pictures every day. When we are not taking
pictures we will be working with software programs that will enhance
our photographs and help develop a portfolio for future prints for
exhibition. Organization of files and pictures are very
important. Please try to keep your files in order and clean. Storage of
pictures will take place on a server provided or by other hard storage
such as disk or CD Burner. Printing of digital photos will be limited
because of cost. Any printing of digital photos will be monitored for
cost reasons so please conserve paper and ink.
Presentation is very important and so is sharing of information.
Critiques will take place weekly. All photo assignments will be mounted
on card stock or mat board.
There may be days when technology may let us down. In that case students are asked to bring additional work materials to class.
